Jean-Michel Basquiat, Winter 1980-81, photograph by Bobby Grossman. On a day off from the production of Downtown 81, Bobby Grossman invited Jean-Michel Basquiat to meet at the popular downtown restaurant, Kiev. Grossman photographed the artist at Mulberry and Bleecker Streets in front of his SAMO© graffiti.
